Point Grey & UBC

It's a mix: established families on Point Grey's residential streets (large lots, older character homes, high price points), UBC faculty and staff in Wesbrook Village and University Hill, investors buying campus-area condos for the student rental market, and international families wanting proximity to UBC for their children's education.

It's UBC's master-planned residential neighbourhood on the south side of campus, built over the past decade, with mid-rise condos, townhomes, a commercial village centre, and its own elementary and secondary schools — a self-contained community that didn't exist 15 years ago.

University Hill Secondary (VSB, grades 8–12, on UBC campus in Wesbrook Place), Lord Byng Secondary (Point Grey, grades 8–12), Norma Rose Point Elementary and University Hill Elementary (both serve the UBC campus area), and University of British Columbia (Canada's third-largest university).

Wesbrook Village (UBC's on-campus commercial centre — grocery, restaurants, cafés, pharmacy), West 10th Avenue shops and services near the UBC gates, and West Point Grey Village along West 10th.

Pacific Spirit Regional Park (763 hectares of forest trails for hiking, running, cycling, and horseback riding), Spanish Banks Beach (shallow wading, beach volleyball, kiteboarding), Wreck Beach (clothing-optional, beneath the UBC cliffs), UBC Botanical Garden, Museum of Anthropology at UBC, and Nitobe Memorial Garden.

Point Grey & UBC is mainly known for a mix of established housing. Point Grey and the UBC campus area sit at Vancouver's western tip, where Pacific Spirit Regional Park's 763 hectares of forest trails meet the university's growing residential neighbourhoods in Wesbrook Village and University Hill — plus some of Vancouver's most established old-money residential streets.
